COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Elevate Dance Academy’s Companies offer dedicated dancers the unique opportunity to master dance technique, artistic expression, and performance ability and represent the academy at local performances and competitions. Through this highly involved and positive experience, Company dancers strengthen their self-esteem while developing critical life skills like responsibility, self-discipline, dependability, athleticism, good sportsmanship, and teamwork.

COMPANY SHOWCASE

All companies will have the opportunity to perform company pieces for family and friends, as well as give back by performing for and donating needed supplies to local kids who are in foster care. This will take place on the evening of February 24th at Timberline Middle School in Alpine.

COMPETITION SEASON

We are excited for the upcoming 2020-2021 competition season! Your dancers are busy cleaning their choreography, and it’s extremely important that everyone attend their company classes each week. If dancers are unable to attend, please email us or text their teacher.

Please mark the following Spring competition dates on your calendar, noting that we won’t receive our exact schedule until about a week before the event. In our past experience, the majority of team competitions take place on Saturday, while Friday is usually for solos, duos, and trios. 

VELOCITY COMPETITION AND CONVENTION

  • Dates: February 25-27

  • Participating: Senior Performing Team Only

  • Location: Ogden Eccles Conference Center, Ogden

  • Note: All company members are welcome to register for and attend this convention (it is optional). The price is $260 per dancer. We will need to know before Christmas break if you would like to go, and payments will be due on February 1. 

ASPIRE DANCE PRO

  • Dates: March 5-6

  • Participating: Premier Company, Junior Company

  • Location: TBD, Orem

AMPLIFY DANCE COMPETITION

  • Dates: March 12-13

  • Participating: All Companies

  • Location: Lone Peak High School, Highland

UTAH DANCE FESTIVAL

  • Date: March 20

  • Participating: Senior Contemporary Company, Teen Contemporary Company, Prodigy Contemporary Company 

  • Location: Creative Arts Academy, Bountiful

ELITE DANCE CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Dates: April 16-17

  • Participating: All Companies

NRG CONVENTION AND COMPETITION
